MindShare: Revolution

The confluence of you with me, me with you and us with all.
The stage is set. I have given a semi-bio account of my life to describe the underpinnings of MindShare (MindShare: Beginnings and MindShare: Evolution). Now, it’s time to evolve, to revolve … into the next, the new, the renew, the Renaissance Renewal.
So, what is MindShare … really? A bunch of psychobabble bullshit or—more. Really, it is a path to growth, a path to more—more for you. It began as mind share. I wanted to be a great interrogator, reader of people, able to bend any interpersonal interaction to my will (mentally not physically). I would be able to create a mind share with another person to get inside their experience, to understand them more than they understood me.
Accompanying this was an intense passion to understand the human mind and experience, particularly the intricate dynamics of interpersonal communication. As I grew and left interrogation, my focus changed to a deeper understanding of self—specifically, personal mind control and the ability to shape my personality and experience to my goals.
Then the realization. I had developed significant knowledge and skill for reading people, understanding interpersonal communication and dynamics and programming myself to achieve my desired outcomes, but there was more, more than just me. There were—and are—always other people. People, the bane and source of human existence.
How could I use what I knew to become a better person among people? Not just a better me, but how to bring another person to create a we, a better we?
First, human beings need other human beings—true since the beginning of humanity. But human interaction can be unquantifiably positive and growth-driving in some cases and totally devastating, debilitating and decaying in others.
So, the question becomes, how do I make my interactions work for me, work for my good, for my growth? How do I minimize negativity and decay, and maximize positivity and growth? How do I be selfish for me?
New realization and the crux of MindShare: interactions where each person grows are the fuel for a full life. If I want growth for me, it is in my “selfish” interest to contribute to the other person’s growth, to facilitate a mutually beneficial relationship.
Reciprocity is the path to selfishness in the complexity of human interaction. To get the most benefit for ourselves, we must strive to benefit the other person. Not necessarily comfortable, convenient nor easy, but in this case selfishness must be worked for thru giving, giving yourself.
So, easy, OK, done. Not quite.
It is a human reflex to develop strategies and barriers to protect ourselves from perceived weaknesses and vulnerabilities for survival. And herein lies the revolution. To become selfish for ourselves we need to create good, positive human interactions. The most fruitful human interactions occur when the people are not afraid to expose their vulnerabilities, to open up to each other—at least a little.
So many interactions occur with me behind the walls of my comfort zone and you behind your barricades. Our words to each other are mere facades of meaning echoing back into our own minds and confirming what we have already determined to be true.
Think of any interaction you have had where the other person exposed themselves, opened themselves up to you. Depending on the height and depth of your protective wall, perhaps this caused, invited or allowed you to open yourself up as well, to become vulnerable.
The more each person is able to share, to open the gate of their comfort zone, and to become vulnerable to the other, the greater the opportunity for shared interaction. And shared interaction with vulnerability provides a path to growth.
To be certain, you can get slayed by trusting, nakedly exposing yourself to another. That is why it is critical that you know yourself and believe that the reward you seek is greater than the risk you take.
MindShare is not a unique concept, but one worth recognizing and enhancing with conscious effort and desire. Desire first for self because we all seem to like that best, but with complete realization that to achieve my fullest growth requires, in fact demands, that I contribute to your growth. And that in itself provides a hypercharge for our own growth.
Then where?
Two people interacting, coalescing on a meaningful, visceral level. Then taking that to the next interaction and spreading it to two more and …
The revolution has begun without a gun—a win for humanity.
